With a spirit of initiative, community responsibility, and spreading the value of compassion, students from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, Van Hien University, actively participated in supporting the free cataract surgery program "Bright Eyes of Vietnam - Pink Lotus Light Program, 2nd Edition," organized by the Hung Hau Heart Foundation in collaboration with Military Hospital 175 and Military Hospital 120 in Dong Thap Province.

The program aims to provide visual health care for the elderly and those in difficult circumstances, contributing to bringing light, joy, and hope to hundreds of patients suffering from cataracts – one of the leading causes of preventable vision loss and blindness.

Throughout the program, students from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Van Hien University participated in supporting many professional and logistical activities such as: guiding patients through screening procedures, measuring vital signs, assisting with patient transportation, preparing operating rooms, and caring for and monitoring patients after surgery. With their dedication, thoughtfulness, and serious learning spirit, the students not only contributed to the overall success of the program but also accumulated many valuable practical experiences.

This activity not only carries profound humanitarian significance but also provides an opportunity for students to hone their professional skills, enhance medical ethics, social responsibility, and community service – core values in the training of medical personnel at Van Hien University.
