On last November, new students of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy participated in practical experience courses at medical facilities in Ho Chi Minh City. This was an opportunity for them to initially get acquainted with the real working environment and learn more about the profession they are pursuing.
Under the direct guidance of lecturers of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, the students had 2 wonderful days of experience at Binh Chanh District Medical Center, Binh Hung Medical Station and Phong Phu Medical Station. Here, the Nursing students had the opportunity to listen to the sharing about the organizational chart and operation of a professional medical facility from medical experts. In addition, they also listened to the sharing about the professional work of emergency, treatment and care for patients in the community from doctors and nurses. Besides, they directly visited and experienced the work of medical experts here, including emergency and medical examination and treatment, vaccination, and disease prevention.
The experience brought practical knowledge and helped VHUers better understand the responsibility, dedication and compassion required of those working in the medical industry. These valuable lessons have added motivation and confidence for young people to firmly step on the journey.
