To enhance professional competencies and provide students with direct exposure to real-world patient care environments, K26 Nursing students from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy at Van Hien University have officially begun their clinical practice rotation. The internship covers Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Emergency & Intensive Care at Tan Phu General Hospital and Military Hospital 175.

These healthcare institutions offer professional training environments with a diverse range of medical conditions and patient care procedures, providing ideal conditions for students to hone their clinical skills. Notably, Military Hospital 175 is a strategic, top-tier (final-line) general hospital in the Southern region, serving as a premier training ground for numerous health science programs.

During their clinical placement, students actively participate in patient care under the direct supervision of experienced nursing staff and clinical instructors. Key activities include:
- Assessing, planning, and implementing care plans for internal medicine, surgical, and intensive care patients.
- Monitoring vital signs, evaluating patient conditions, and maintaining accurate nursing documentation.
- Assisting in patient care before, during, and after surgeries.
- Supporting basic and advanced nursing techniques within their permitted scope of practice.
- Observing and participating in emergency, resuscitation, and critical care procedures within the Emergency and Intensive Care Units (ICU).
- Honing communication skills, providing health education, and engaging in interprofessional collaboration for comprehensive patient care.
Beyond applying theoretical knowledge to practice, this clinical rotation helps students build a professional demeanor, elevate their sense of responsibility, foster teamwork skills, and adapt swiftly to a hospital environment. These experiences form a crucial foundation for developing professional competencies and meeting the future standards of qualified nursing practitioners.
